Grow Your Own!: Hands-On Propagation from Cuttings at the California Botanic Garden
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 03/01/2025
The reward of growing your own thriving plant from a cutting is a thrill like nothing else! Join us to learn the basic skills of native plant propagation from cuttings. With the guidance of Anthony Perez, CalBG Restoration Propagation Manager, and Hugo Sopeña, CalBG Nursery Coordinator, we will focus on cutting, trimming, preparing, and transplanting cuttings for growth. Become familiar with some of the tools and materials we use in the Garden’s nursery, which you can use along with simple recycled materials from home. You'll walk away with plant starts that you've prepared yourself.
