The Fontana Police Department Chief’s Roundtable is comprised of three volunteer community members from each of the four geographical beats of the city. The group meets monthly (second or third Wednesday of each month at 6 pm) with the chief. Monthly meetings provide the members with an opportunity to express community concerns and/or questions directly to the chief. Information from the chief/department is provided to roundtable members for transparent communication to the community.

Some of the topics discussed have resulted in organizational changes and program implementation.  Other subjects continue to be explored.  The following is a partial list of issues:

•             Police transparency

•             Crime statistics and trends

•             Mental health

•             Homelessness

•             Diversity in police recruiting

•             Street racing

•             Community engagement

If you are a concerned community member and would like to be part of our dynamic group, please submit an email of interest.  The email should include a brief description of your motivation in joining and submitted to our City Manager Matt Ballantyne
