The Big Bear Valley Astronomical Society (BBVAS) is a group of mostly local individuals from all walks of life and all levels of knowledge that have come together to share the joy, wonder and science of Astronomy among themselves and with the general public. Since 1991, BBVAS has been the lead organization in the Big Bear Valley in Astronomy. We represent and welcome all levels of astronomers from rank beginner on up. The only requirement is a desire to further your appreciation and understanding of this wonderful and awe inspiring hobby.
